Making custom skins

Hi all,

(Maybe there was a message thread started regarding this, but f*** it, I'm too lazy to search the boards for it...)

 

I'm curious as to how one goes about creating custom skins from scratch in Jedi Academy. I'd like to develop more of a Dark Side look for the human character in clothing, skin color, etc. How can one simply change the color of the clothing that's already available? Any help would be much appreciated.
