Ernil
Amazing! That's almost as good as the one I set up!
Shivermetimbers
I hate to sound cynical, but it would be much nicer if it wasn't half animation. Still, its pretty cool. The one I made didn't work quite right. It ended up spraying salt all over my school gym. Don't ask.

Governor Phatt
The whole point of that advert was that it is all real...
Feral
Yeah, it really is real...get the "Cog" DVD and it explains all.
Shivermetimbers
I apologize for my ignorance. something like 606 tries to get it to work. I still have my doubts about parts of it though(how did they get the tires to stand still on the ramp????)
Ernil
The tires defy the laws of Physics. They get hit, then they accelerate up the ramp. It makes me wonder what exactly happened there.
Mr.Burger
ya some friend-o-mine had this on her profile about ... god maybe six or so months ago. i was flabbergasted. i watched the "making of" vid for it and it explains all the various different designs they had and the exact equations that went into each aspect of it. it's really really really impressive. Finally, physics class serves a purpose. actually it was supposedly some cubicle dwellers' idea to make the ad like that, then each of them just kept contributing ideas and some handful of physicists said "okay this sounds fun let's do it." they shot the scene well over 400 times before it worked perfectly, supposedly. that's a lot that's a lot that's a lot that is a f*cking lot holy moly a lot of times. (throws up)
Governor Phatt
The tires work because each one is hit *just* hard enough for it to reach the next one, and then as it touches it its energy is transfered, giving the next one *just* enough energy to get to the next one ^_^ wow, some physics i actually understand
