razorace
Ok, I've just hacked the living crap out of the animevents and they now work for the pointered sound events (sounds with "*" at the beginning). This means a couple of things. First off, it meants that some of the moves have much more detailed sound effects. Secondly, it's much easier to script sound effects for moves. Basically, animevents link the sound effects directly to the animations. The real question is what should we do with this new ability? Should we have seperate SP and MP versions of the animevents.cfg?
keshire
So your saying that any new events added will not work with the way sp is coded? If so then yes split them.
razorace
No, all I did was make MP run the format correctly. It's not different than the SP format. The question is twofold: 1. should we have two copies of the animevent.cfg because the current version is only really set up for SP (some animations have pretty character specific sound effects)? 2. should we expand the number of possible player sounds to allow a wider range of sounds and be more in line with the NPC sound sets?
