russafee Posted December 11, 2003 Share Posted December 11, 2003 ahhh jedi academy is lsowly messing up worse...i couldnt play SP this morning cause it said "error:..... missing 1 sound set (see above)" and today i tried to compile a map which went fine but when i tried to load it it said i was missing sound set .... sme error message ... about 5 minutes before the map compiled fine ... help me plezzzzz~|!!!! scoobz1 Posted December 18, 2003 Share Posted December 18, 2003 I've tried reinstalling and it dosen't work. It's not consistant though and it's not specific to certain maps. One time a map will load, and another time the same map will come up with, "Missing Sound Set (See Above)" See Above = Console ..... upon checking the console the error line is: AS_Parse Sets ambient set file not found "city_outdoor"! ...I have checked through my assets0.pk3 and the folder is there with the correct files in it.... ....any one else no of a solution? Sith_Lord_Tim Posted December 19, 2003 Share Posted December 19, 2003 have u tryed uninstalling ever thing. all mods, saved games, ect. then serching for any JA files amoun your computer. then instaling it. that might do it. i know it worked for me on JO i have some what the same problem. hope it works. ps if it dont whats your opperating system? windows 95,98,2000,me,nt,Xp or Linx? but maybe update those could work too. The problem wasn't consistant and only seems to happen on maps that use the city_outdoor ambient sound. Anyways... it's early morning, and I happened to find a server that kept giving me this problem - so while it was dead, I took out all my maps and mods - then went back in. No problem. So I went back and put all my mods back in. No Problem. So I went back again and put all my maps back in *PROBLEM* - the error occurred. I basically went in and out a dozen times taking my maps out bit by bit and putting them in again until I found the culprit map: "UKM Academy v10b" (ukm1.pk3). I don't know why - but have this map in my dir caused this sound problem even trying to join and play an official map.... strange indeed! - but anyway... it is now fixed and I can get back to hacking and slashing Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
