Didjer Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 i wouldn't expect anything spectacular, but it'll probably get the job done just fine
guyvii Posted December 16, 2003 Posted December 16, 2003 Nooooooo, It is a PCI card , Go with AGP. less of a choke point. I think you can not go wrong with NVIDIA cards. drivers are so universal. In the race bettween ATI and Nvidia ( gone are the days of 3dfx) nvidia has won all the races execpt once, about 6 months ago ATI got a faster card. But Nvidia is on top now. You can get a 1 generation back card for around 140 to 165 dollors. 128 mb video , 400 mhz dual memory . look for Geforce fx 5600. It comes with 256 mb but the 128 is less expencive. I bought mine at Fry's for $135 on sale.
Crow_Nest Posted December 16, 2003 Posted December 16, 2003 I wouldnt get that, the radeon 7000 and 8000 series are old outdated cards. If you want a good, cheap low-end card, get a GeForce 4 Ti4200.
crzy_n8 Posted December 16, 2003 Author Posted December 16, 2003 turns out my step-bro was looking in the wrong catagory and he found me a better card, havent had enough time to get the name of it.
