HamZta
Anyone know how to work this? I changed it to =0 in the .ini, but nothing happened. Anyone successfully able to run this in a window? I think it might help with instances where the damn game locks my whole pc up.
Samuel Dravis
There is absolutely NO support for non-fullscreen mode. It is supposed to crash the game whenever you put it in windowed mode...it definitely won't help with lockups. Go check out Bioware's forum and go to the Self help forum. They will most likely be able to help you there, and the devs respond to your posts as well sometimes.
Com Raven
You might be able to enforce windowed mode somehow through your drivers, or some windows app. But seeing how BioWare never planned the game to be played like that, I'd advise against it... HamZta
Ok, Thanks for the info. See I have this crash most often when the game switches monitor res to show videos and things. Sometimes even in the 3 opening bioware/LA clips. I thought that in windowed mode it just wouldnt switch res. In addition I looked around in the .exe and found another setting not in the ini file to begin with 'AllowWindowedMode'.. but that didn't do anything either when I added it in. Spose its time to just put up with it. Thanks again.
Samuel Dravis
I have that same problem...I was able to fix it once, but then it just went back to screwing up without me doing anything. Right now I have movies off to stop it from happening.s
