matsui Posted December 15, 2003 Share Posted December 15, 2003 it's all a matter of perspective. laptops in the last 5 years have been designed no longer to supplement desktops, but replace them. and that's how i bought my machine. i got a dell inspiron 5100--mildly low end, but since my company was laoning me the money interest free, i bumped it up a teeeny bit---and it runs swg masterfully. the one thing is the middlin amount of memory, and the fairly typical "lost faces" issue with low level ati cards. otherwise, i play swg about 50% on this machine and 50% on my desktop. so likely anyone saying it is impossible to play on a laptop either has an older(REALLY older--i got mine in march) machine or just plain cruddy one. 2.4ghz p4 384 megddr(266) 32 meg ati Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
