Marker0077
These people do not leave any contact info, how do you expect other developers to get in contact with you without that info??? Kevin Coyle I spoke with Kevin quite some time ago about his old ben model (forgot how tho) & now he has a new one out that I want to add to CM as well (Ani) but I want to do some other modifications & this is not something I want to talk about publically. I'm pretty sure Kevin will be willing to give me permission on this one, that's not what this is about. Again, I don't want to discuss this publically. Please contact me KC. Melee Mod Crew I like some of the models, I'll need to do textures & make some changes to the .sab configs in order for me to add them but I want to get in contact with these guys mainly for permission purposes. Contact Info DO NOT PM ME HERE PLEASE. Kurgan
From the Melee Mod readme: We had a whole idea for an entire Ninja mod with new textures, skins, levels, cinematics, etc., but we just don't have time right now due to work demands, so we figured we'd release this anyway so that other modders could see what we were up to and draw inspiration (or, if they want, pilfer directly) from it. (emphasis mine) Most of the models (the untextured ones) in Melee Mod are original, the ones that are textured are borrowed from other sources, IIRC, but read the documentation yourself and decide. Marker0077
Well I didn't want to "pilfer" anything, I wanted to get permission to use it. That's the way I like to keep things in my project. There are some things in CM that I did not get permission for but nothing that I think the original authors would have a problem with. Thanks for the heads up though. Also, I didn't notice any textured models in the pack but I only spent about 10 or 15 minutes going through it. Lastly, what do you mean "(emphasis mine)"? Is some of your work in there?
keshire
what do you mean "(emphasis mine)"? "emphasis mine" is a euphamism for "hey the following words are only bold because I wanted to put emphasis on them".
Kurgan
What he said. I had nothing whatsoever to do with Melee Mod's creation (I *wish*!). I just got the impression from the Melee Mod's readme that the authors didn't care if people used their stuff in other mods. I assume of course they would want credit given where credit is due (say mentioning their work in the readme). A handfull of the weapons in Melee mod are textured and appeared for example previously in the WBA swords pack (and I think even their pack was just a collection of work by different authors), the rest were created from scratch by Slice, Dice & Mince.
