overload8911
I am really pissed off. I just passed the part where I fight Malak on the Leviathon. I'm back in the Ebon Hawk, I've talked to everyone, everyone is ok with my new information, and I can't figure out how to continue on to the next and final planet. Reasons why I think its a bug: 1) when I go to map, its not a map of the Ebon Hawk 2) when I enter the navigation room next to the cockpit, the screen goes black (but I can go to inventory, etc) 3) I can add members to my party even though they're in the central room, I.E. there becomes 2 of them. did this happen to anyone else? is there a fix? how do I continue? thanks to anyone who helps
eidospsogos
okay. something similar has happened to me before. not in the same place in the game, but still very similar. i had nothing but a black screen and a cursor. you can hit esc to get to your inventory/quests/items/etc etc screens. but that does little good. what i had to do, was feel around in the dark with my cursor to find what i needed to access. for me this was at the yavin spacestation, and i had to feel around for the access panel clicking randomly until a hand icon showed up, and i clicked it. problem solved back into the game. now, there is suppoed to be a hotkey way to cycle targets. i think it's q and e that will cycle through targets. you might be able to use this info to find the galaxy map in the dark and start your trip to the next planet on your list. hope this helps. overload8911
That would help except the galaxy map is in the cockpit which I have no problem seeing, not the navigation room (I just added that info to give support that this was a bug problem) . And unfortunately, the galaxy map is un-clickable and I can't get into it to travel around. Thanks though, I will use that tip to get out of the room when it goes dark. eidospsogos
ah i got you. just seemed to me the nav room would be the room with the glaxy map as that is what you use to navigate. funny huh. you mean the room with zaalbar and your utility droid in it. the one where juhani is standing in the closet. that would be tougher. well i hope the previous info helped in some way. don't know what else to say really. overload8911
nah I mean the room closest to the cockpit. Theres a bunch of computers and whatnot so I just assumed it was the nav room actually Juhani is no where to be found on board, though she appears if I add her into my party Let me ask you though, at that point, how is one normally supposed to continue on? Is the galaxy map supposed to be clickable? In a few walkthroughs I read it says it automatically takes you to the remaining planet once you've talked to everyone......... idontlikegeorge
It does. It probably has something to do with your inability to find Juhani on the ship. Stand next to Zaalbar, and look all 360 degrees and you should see her. Go talk to her, and maybe it will continue correctly.
eidospsogos
the room with all the computers along the hallway to to the cockpit? i've never done anything with this room as no one has ever been there. and my game DID NOT automatically take me to this planet following the cutscene. i had to go to the galaxy map and click on the planet i wanted manually. of course when i was picked up by the leviathan(three times through now mind you) i still had one star map left to acquire. so i still had one planet left to travel to before the unknown world was even an option. in my opinion this is the best way to go, as it would be impossible to be transported automatically to a planet not even on your map yet. the order i have gone in has always been tattooine first. my first time through was tatooine, kashyyk, manaan, korriban. second time was tatooine, korriban, kashyyk, manaan. third time i didn't really have a real order as i visited the planets to do everything but the star map and then left to explore elsewhere. but with the two orders listed above, i always was picked up by the leviathan before reaching the final star map. THAT would be horrible if the game did do that. as this is the point of no return and if you have not completed any sidequests they would be lost forever. what a horrible design that would be. idontlikegeorge
Not really. Main storyline plots take precedent over side quests. If you couldn't find and/or ignored a sidequest and didn't complete it, oh well, tough cookies. And, after the Leviathan crap, you do automatically goto either: the location you were heading to when you left the last planet you were on (that got the Third Map), or, if it's unavailible due to storyline events, you will go to the planet of the final Map. No Unknown World yet in the list. But anyway, since this problem seems to occur after escaping the Leviathan, and having the Revelation, the problem might be, like I said, with the the player not seeing Juhani on the ship before. I wonder if that might indeed be the case?
eidospsogos
well i would have to disagree. when a bulk of your gametime is made up of sidequests, and not merely a progressing of the main plot, they don't seem to be very secondary at all. maybe to those of you who like to play through the game like you would a fps, this could be the case. but i feel, though they may be called SIDEquests, that when they can make a 50 to 75 hour difference in your final game time, that they are a lot more than secondary. to myself, and most people i have talked to that play this type of game frequently, the sidequests are just as important as the main plot. they are on an equal level of importance with the plot of the game, as in most cases you will spend more time doing them, and gain much more from doing them, than you will by merely progressing the plot. that aside, you are right. you will go to whatever planet you were traveling to when the leviathan picked you up automatically. but as this generally happens after your third(technically fourth) star map, then there will still be one more star map to get before the unknown world will even show up. overload8911
To answer your question, I know where Juhani is normally (in that closet thing) and she's not there. She's no where to be found on the ship. However, I added her to my party and she appeared. I also squared away the revelation with her, but nothing happened. And still the galaxy map is unclickable =( my last save is fairly long ago, I dont want to redo all my progress if this is going to happen again edit: also I would like to add that the planet I chose to go to was Dantoine because I was curious about its destruction. Does this have anything to do with it?
eidospsogos
well, my last suggestion would be to hop over to the bioware forums. they may not allow any discussion of modding, but they are more likely to have help on a bug of this nature. you can check in their list of known bugs topics, or you can do a search. and as a lst resort, you could register your game with them, and then post in their tech support forum. eidospsogos
the dantooine trip could have alot to do with it. dantooine was truly destroyed, and will be inaccessible from this point in the game. phew. that would cause quite an error wouldn't it.
