Souljah
I get there and I have to fight an endless gauntlet of people coming out of nowhere! And the thing is they come from behind too so progressing to Bastila is twice as difficult, is this some kind of sick joke theyre playing on us. IT DOESNT BLOODY END! THATS JUST STUPID! Hannibal
If you rush ahead to quickly then they do come quickly. If you slowly progress they are more manageable though.
SithTrooper
Ok, Relax, Get That Death Grip Off your Controller And just take your time. As A Sith i Found Force Storm And Death Field really effective here. Along with Master Flurry. I was laying out people left and right. . As A Lightsider i used Master Speed and just hacked away. eidospsogos
Force Wave. Force Wave. Force Wave. need i say it again. the most devastating force power, not restricted by armor or designated to only one side of the force, having effects on multiple targets. this power is an essential. Souljah
well my force runs out extremely quickly if I use the power to the extent u mentioned. I could probably use them on about 4 waves (of about 4 people - troopers, dark jedi and apprentices) But then it runs out and there are at least 8 waves of people coming at me on each level - haven't survived long enough to see if theres more. On the control deck I was fighting for about 10 mins straight, wave after wave. I counted at least 30 people. And the annoying thing is when I get up and just about reach the viewing platform where that hoe is I'm confronted by 1 jedi apprentice, 1 sith heavy trooper and 3 dark jedi guarding the gate while I'm puffing and panting up to them. It would be cool if the people just stayed in a certain areas where they spawn to allow me time to heal to some extent, or just lessen the amount coming at me, but they come from all directions and storm you...its a joke I must have had about 10 enemies on my screen at one point. HertogJan
I too felt it was a bit over-done, but I didn't hate it! I managed to play trough the Star Forge in 1 try without letting my entire party die, but I lost a party member here and there, and that didn't happen to me too often in KOTOR!! Jabbas WhOr3
I really liked it. Just make sure your party members dont run off and start anything without you being there or they may trigger another wave. By this point in the game you should have enough gear on you to be able to destroy 7 star forges single handedly, I had over 50 grenades of all sorts, over 100 medpacs and advanced medpacks. Use the medpacks instead of force heal, save the force for offence (wave). Dont use life support save them for malak they give 80 health I think its the dark red ones. Stims, you should have enough to fly you to the moon, stim up all the time, use the dexterity, strength, and constitution bounus ones and your attacks will decimate anything that stands. Shields, you should ahve around ten to fifteen shields of all sorts, use the heavy duty ones for this last onslaught but again... save the best till malak. Force powers, I had jolee and juahini. Jolee I wanted for evil force powers (even tho I was full light side) kill, death field and storm, he also had statis, knight valour, improved eneregy resistance, so those buffs were always on, he had other powers but the ones listed were of most use. Juahini had force breach, wave, statis field, plague. Both had lightsabre throw, its a mus. Typical engagement, see the enemy, throw stun and concussion grenades and engage melee combat get a statis field or a wave to stun the easy targets, upon seeing dark jedi dudes, hammer him with breach then kill, plague, buy this time he feels sick and is in no state to resist a flurry or 2 from a fully armed and operational player! I had jolee witht the lightsabre crystal that regenerates force and had him throw lightning and greanades like mad from behind I took this crew Here.. Jolee looks good withe the goggles in the dark. eidospsogos
that brings up another thing i hated about the scripting of your party members actions!!!! if i didn't click to attack the other group that you somehow got close enough to be aware of, don't run over on your own and start attcking them!!! if i wanted to attack them i would have!!! geez, it is almost impossible to get your stupid party out of a fight once it has started. you can disengage and run away as many times as you like but at least one idiot is going to go running back to try and start fighting again!!! have we really degraded our combat system this much since bg2?!!! i mean geez. good help is hard to find is an understatement when it comes to the AI script actions of your party members. carth with duel pistols will run up to 2 inches away from someone with a lightsaber or melee weapon. to do what? is his aim so bad he needs to be point blank to hit them? maybe he needs glasses? and there is no effective way to handle this. as soon as you switch to other members, the one you left on their own to fix the stupidity of the other, is now just as tupid as the one you were trying to fix. and forget getting out of a battle if there is ANYONE in the near vicinity. it is IMPOSSIBLE. i like the basis of this combat system don't get me wrong. it came from bg2 and bioware's other rpgs. but it seems to me as though ultimately it is a downgrade, and not an improvement. at least give us one more script. the "do nothing until i tell you to" script. PLEASE!!
Jabbas WhOr3
Also keep the other characters attack setting to default or you will be cutting up someone and all of a sudden a grenade lands at your feet..... thrown by your other party members

ExcelsioN
Originally posted by eidospsogos Force Wave. Force Wave. Force Wave. Need I say more? When you're surrounded my enemies just use it and they'll fly back AND get hurt. Also, bring the two jedi (someone, I forget his name, and Juhani) with you. And give both of them force wave.
