fitzwilliamd
I am new to multiplayer and had some quick questions for the experts out there. 1. How do you layout your keys for efficient use of force powers (I like Dark)? 2. How do you spend your force points and why (Jedi Master Level)? 3. Are there any useful multiplayer commands that make it easier to play? Like by increasing the FOV a bit or making it easier to see while dueling? Thank you ! Amidala from Chop Shop
For control layouts, look here: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=119519 For Force power allocation, it depends on what game type (FFA, CTF, Duel) you are playing, what Force powers are enabled\disabled on the server, and the Force regeneration speed. You should have several presets. For instance, you like Dark Side, but many servers have Lightning disabled, so you should have presets with\without lightning. If Force regeneration is faster than default (as on many servers), Drain is less usefull for weakening your opponent, and Team Energize is unnecessary. But if you aren't playing CTF, you probably don't need Team Energize anyway. So there are a lot of variables depending upon personal preference, game type, and server configuration. Just have lots of presets! There is a cvar (cg_fov) that gives your field of view in degrees when in 3rd-person viewpoint. I think default is 80 or 90. Try /set cg_fov 100 or 105 or 110 to see which looks best to you.
