akaaj66 Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 are rebel faction points best used for promotion, training or to buy stuff??? Promotion does not seem to get you anything other than a title.
Neoplitan Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 from what I've seen, I'd recomend getting the unique faction items like that back pack and weapons
Trahern Valley Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 Rank defines the maximum amount of faction points you can have.
JediMasterEd Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 Originally posted by Neoplitan from what I've seen, I'd recomend getting the unique faction items like that back pack and weapons Hmph! The weapons stink, the armor is nothing compaired to Composite, the only thing that it's good for is the pack, and if your city goes Rebel or Imperial, faction structures and promotions.
SWG Fan Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 correction...the armor isnt good compared to anything....
Trahern Valley Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 Stormtrooper armor is 30% against almost everything, with less encumbrance than composite with the same resists. Good stuff to start off on (until you can afford the better composite stuff), and fun to run around in. Until you run into a combat-oriented rebel. Place a city in/next to a dangerous area, get a faction HQ in, and enjoy pulling the nastiest of the local wildlife into the nastiest crossfire you can take part in by yourself. Edited to add: Argh! I just hit Ewok! Not nearly as much fun as hitting an Ewok! *hits self, knocks self out*
akaaj66 Posted December 30, 2003 Author Posted December 30, 2003 So, what is the difference between being a Corporal or Sergeant, etc.?? Is it just the title or do you get bonuses for each rank you achieve?????
Trahern Valley Posted December 30, 2003 Posted December 30, 2003 I think someone said last night that it can also affect the faction missions you take, but I wasn't paying much attention because I was being chased by a pair of war grondas at the time.
