[SPOILER]! just how persuasive can you get?

Those of us playing the PC version get to shop at the Yavin space station, which by far is the best place to go when you want to make those credits count.

In any case: I've found the 4th star map on Korriban, I've kicked the crap out of the uninvited Trandoshans on the Space Station, took of and came back again to spend my last credits on some kick ass Baragwin gear for Canderous and suddenly good ol' Suvam Tan is talking about wrapping it up and goin' away... in response you can attempt to both Persuade and/or Force Persuade him into letting YOU take good care of all his merchandise.

Using the Force I almost had him give into me, but he came around and went back to the old routines of trading like he used to...

Has anyone actually made this happen or is it *just* a teaser from Bioware?

In the game previously mentioned I was a damn smooth talker, although not maxed out completely ... come to think of it, I think Suvam was the only one to turn me down repeatedly. Every Hut in the game felt a sudden urge to cough it up when asked "nicely"...

force persuade is just a force power for your main character. pick it when leveling up. however using in some instances will net you ds points. some things in the game are scripted to happen a certain way no matter how high your persuade skill is. i doubt very seriously anyone has actually gotten more than 10 percent from the hutt running the duel ring. and don't say you have because i went through with a very high persuade skill(as in cheated....just to see)

yeah u cant bargain for more than 10% with the hutt but Dominate Mind came in very handy when I wanted Motta the Hutt to give me more than 2000 for the mysterious box.

Me: You want to give me more than 2000.

Motta: Hmm. Yes I do want to give you more, but I do not like it.

Motta the Hutt paid me 2500 for that box, and the Rodian to whom I delivered the hidden spice from the Ebon Hawk's secret compartment gave me 1500 credits. A 1000 credits extra with Force Persuasion. The Hutt on Taris paid me 400 for one of the contracts instead of the usual 300.

Still, I'd love to get my hands Suvam's goods for nothing. Let Malak have the Star Forge, I'll set up shop on Yavin... or something.
