randydg Posted February 20, 2004 Share Posted February 20, 2004 Hi, i know there are venders in the arena files. is there a way someone could put together some files to put a vender in the ebon hawk? that has sabers & crystals? that way you have it next to your workbench and can just buy the crystals & sbrs. Also is it possible to put in a new planet on the ebon hawk destination chart? im currently trying to work on an aftermath dantooine. Remove all the npc's and remove all the speeders and houses and just have the land left with the jedi training place left. and auto attack dark jedi's in the jedi training place? like after the leth where he tels you dantooine & the training place was destroyed. or simi-destroyed? so you can like travel there after that incounter and see that he kinda lied and they are just now attacking. have the jedi councel fighting the mass dark jedi 's and you come help them. something like this would be cool. im no modder. but if someone could do this or help in doing this that would be great. Adding new planets is quite easy too. I played around with this a few days ago and was able to do this. If you want to know the technical details, let me know. I usualy hide in the shadows and wait for others to do something i like and download it i don't talk alot on messageboards but watch and listen. but with this game i realy want to get involved. I've recorded the people who said that they would help, and they are welcome to get in touch with me whenever. I'll have jobs for everyone soon I'm sure. The suggestion about new worlds is uber-ambitious, not something I'm sure that we're going to be able to do at any point in modding this game unless the model format is cracked. I never said a new blank planet. i said dantooine the same but add dark jedi's and add the councel attacking them and you can visit after whats his name tells you dantooine was destroyed but that was only half true that they just went and attacked. after excaping you can go back to dantooine(put another point on the map?) and see the councel fighting these mass dark jedi's and help them. randydg Posted February 20, 2004 Author Share Posted February 20, 2004 oh, and adding new planets is easy. well not exactly new and not exactly empty. just go in the modules folder find dant13 - whatever. copy them and rename them to what you want such as destroyeddant13.rim. and do a warp destroyeddant13.rim and there you go whatever you do with this planet/mod doesn't affect the other dant13. so i know that much for sure. but adding venders adding dark jedi there and making the councle attack them is a different story. maybe one day add in broken support beams leaning over and debree to show an attack and make it look realistic battle that just took place. It is not really a tutorial, it simply explains what info is contained within a vendor file. http://nwn.bioware.com/developers/Bioware_Aurora_Store_Format.pdf Once you created the merchant file, all you have to do left is to create a script that calls for the merchant file. Perhaps you should call it from a dialog file from an NPC. I'd like to see the aftermath of the destruction of dantooine, taris also(A more difficult and fun version of taris). If there were a way to continue the story after defeating malak, having certain things to do depending on your path. Do some missions as The Dark Lord or A legendary Jedi Master. For the light side, say you get to taris and the only survivors are the outcasts who talked of findind that "promised land". And you can actually go to the promised land, do some more quests and stuff. Maybe the rest of taris can just be mountains of destroyed buildings. I'd love to see dantooine like that too, much destruction and Dark Jedis all over the place needing to be finished off. For the dark side maybe you can get a new party consisting of dark jedis and bastilla and canderous, then going to taris and finishing off the survivors and getting rid of the promised land or something. And when you travel to dantooine, you can have your first small war as the Dark Lord. You and your minions take on survivors of dantooine. randydg Posted February 20, 2004 Author Share Posted February 20, 2004 ahh, ok i also found out that if you go to a different area with battle13 it takes you to danm(number) instead of battle(number) so i guess the battle13.rim would have to be recompilled with the proper exits if you redid it. but the idea behind it still works. To activate this mod, you have to talk to Mission in the Ebon Hawk and ask her to play pazaak. Once you have done that, a vendor will be spawned just besides the benchwork. randydg Posted February 21, 2004 Author Share Posted February 21, 2004 thanks for the mod. but as far as your tutorial i can't do it. i can get the tool but the tool requires .net framework and i can't download it. it takes 2hrs to get it on dialup and i've tried to download it 5 times now. before it gets done i says "server has reset" or i get disconnected. so unless someone can add the .dll files that that tool only needs then i will be unable to use it :/ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You do talk to her while in the ebon hawk right? No, you do not have to start a new game for this. Dannyboy, if you want to put new items for sale, you can edit the file ebon_store.utm using GFF Editor. Just replace the crystals there into lightsabers.
