Commas
i can't get the tpc2tga.exe that i downloaded from kitty's list of downloads to work, i double click it, the dos module pops up for a split second and then it closes, is there anything else i can use to make the texture files in kotor readable by photoshop? lord_blodgett
That is because it is a dos program. You need to run it from the dos prompt. Go to Start -> Run and type in Command (or CMD if you are running either Windows 2000 or XP). Now comes the hard part. In the window that comes up you need to type in the following: cd\ <the path to tcp2tga> and press enter (The easiest way to find the path is to go into Windows Explorer, browse to the folder and copy the path into the line.) If you need to change drives, just put the drive letter in followed by a : first, i.e. D:, press enter, then use the line above. then run the program using: tcp2tga oldfile.tpc newfile.tga and press enter It will look like this (I'm using the file I just converted as an example, It's Quel Dorma's robe and the folder is Textures under Temp on my C: drive): cd\ Temp\Textures and press enter tcp2tga pmbi01.tpc pmbi01.tga and press enter Hope this helps. T7nowhere
It's much easyer if you just use Kotor tool. All you do is double click the file to open it in a image viewer then hit the write button to save it as a tga

Fred Tetra
Doesn't anyone read the readme.txt file? Maybe I should add some code that asks for word "n" ("n" would be random each time) from the readme.txt before the program would start. Mooahh haaa haaa haaa.... Manuals and readme files are the last resort before you call tech support. I thought everyone knew that?

Helodermatid
You could use something like irfanview from http://www.irfanview.com to convert the tga file to some other formats you can edit.
