Joni
I got Monkey Island Madness CD that has MI1&2 with updated graphics and sound, my problem is with ScummVM and MI1. When i select "Monkey Island 1 (Vga Cd Version)" from ScummVM I get error can't find monkey1.001 (that file is named monkey.001 in the CD), ScummVM launches the game with "Monkey Island 1 (Vga Cd Version - Alternate)" but after a while playing it gives error that can't find something. I copied Monkey1 folder to HD, renamed monkey.000 and monkey.001 to monkey1.xxx and tested if it works with "Monkey Island 1 (Vga Cd Version)", game works fine but it seems to run too fast, so I was wondering if there is any way to get it to work from the CD? Also there seems to be something in the ScummVM that removes the copyprotection, is there any way to remove it 'cos I would like to try those dials again =) "I got my first copy of The Secret of Monkey Island in my Amiga maybe in 1991 when I was 10 years old, I spend whole summer playing it and after 14 years it's still the best game i've played." Joshi
Scummvm doesn't get rid of the copy protection thing, that was removed from the CD version but LEC (although not completely removed from MI2, just bypassed somehow, but it's there serving no purpose whatsoever.) The only thing I can think of is try ScummVM again running it off the CD, but this time, don't try the VGA CD version, but instead a different version. I know one of them works.
