TrentAbru
Let me say this now, I do not play JKA over the net (yet), I only play with myself (sad), ie on by own in solo game mode, ie against bots on my own PC. I have never quite understood why every now and again I get the game stopping for a second or so and the error message "Connection interupted" appearing. Can anyone explain why this should happen to a solo MP game?

TrentAbru
Thanks for replying Amidala. I got plenty looks at jk2/3 forums, but no one risked a thought. Your suggestion is difficult to accept. The error message happens rather infrequently and is in no way seems to correlate with the number of bots in use in a solo MP game. I can play some very big graphically intense maps with up to 10 bots and not get this error but I may find this on a small duel map with 1 bot! My Pc specs: Intel P4 2.67 MHz 512 Mb RAM (3300) 120Gb HD 128 Mb GeForce 4 Ti 4600 Operating system Win XP home AVG antivirus software McAfee personal Firewall Soundblaster Audigy 5.1 I have had some peculiar effects since I installed AOL broadband in other areas of the pc, not necesarily gaming. That ring any bells with anyone? Apart from when this "connection interrupted" occurs, and the game is momentarily at a standstill, my fps rarely ever fall below 30fps and my normal value is in the region of 50-80 fps. Amidala from Chop Shop
Then something is temporarily overloading your CPU, because you are describing 999 lag, and if you are playing solo game that can only happen if the lag is CPU-induced. Do you have slowmodeath on at the end of a duel? Is your mail client checking for new mail every so often?
