CluelessDude
Hello again. I apologize in advance if this has already been hashed over here. I did search, and came up with no solutions. The question is whether there's a way to remove the "using lightsaber" restriction from Force Jump. I was unable to find a script for the power. And removing the object masks from the spells.2da entries proved fruitless. I changed both the 'requireditemmask' and the 'forbiditemmask' fields to 0x0000. I also tried changing each of them alone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
tk102
See this thread. Hint: feats.2da
clydeski
Did you try restarting the game after modding the spells.2da? KOTOR doesn't seem to look at override except when starting.
CluelessDude
Thank you for your replies. Yes, I restarted the game. Looking through spells.2da only yields two entries for Force_Jump type skills, anyway (And both have those XXX's at the end). There are three levels of Force Jump in the game. So I'm thinking that the entries I have to alter are elsewhere. No idea where. Once again, any help would be appreciated.
tk102
Trying looking at feats.2da -- Force Jump is a feat.
CluelessDude
Yes, I know it's a feat. But there isn't any type of item requirement field in that file that I can see. Unless I'm blind.
Prime
Just out of curiosity, why would you want to use this feat without the lightsaber? Presumably if you are a Jedi you will want to use the lighsaber. Are you using a vibroblade or something instead? Using Force Jump with a blaster would be pretty useless as far as I can see... CluelessDude
Yeah, a blaster would look pretty dumb. (Although apparently someone got it to work in the thread linked to above) I just think that if you're a Jedi Guardian with a melee weapon of any kind, you should be able to use Force Jump. It doesn't really make sense that you need to wield a lightsaber to use it. Personally, I do like to use lightsabers for the most part. There are some pretty incredible melee weapons that aren't lightsabers in the game, though. This is just something I'd like to know how to change.
