pie_man101
Browsing through these forums, you see tons of people who have changed or made their jedi robes different in appearance. Can anyone give a brief explanation into how they manage to make these kickbutt robes?? ALso, what picture editor do you use?? Thnx

Noctambulist
I use Photoshop, but most good image editing tools will do, such as Paintshop Pro, as long as it can open .tga or Targa files. First find the .tpc file for the robe you want to change with the Kotor Tool. This will be under ERFs and then swpc_tex_tpa.erf. Sometimes for other armor this involves a lot of clicking around, twisting of neck and squinting of eyes to find which one it is. But the jedi robes are easy since they all start as PFBIxx.tpc for female and PMBIxx.tpc for male. The xx is a number for the different robes. Double click on them too see them in the image viewer. Once you find the robe you want to retexture, click on Write File in the image viewer and it converts it to a .tga file which is a Targe file. This file can then be opened in your image editing software and messed around with. Once you are done, save it out as a .tga file again and simply place it in your override folder. This is an oversimplification of the process, but should get you started. Remember that alternate saves and layers are your friend.

pie_man101
I know how to extract the images and get them to the editor, but how would I (for example) make a cape or change the texture of a robe?? Thnx
