Fearless_Jedi
Mono_Giganto, I have to say that that looks pretty good! Maybe make the brown a little lighter and I will download it TWICE!
dj_owen
okay, i got it to work, but i did it a little different than you did. i opened the appearance.2da, and copied the line #371 (N_DarthRevan_M) and pasted it to a new line #509. then i just changed the head to what i wanted (in this case, head #45). i also did one so trask could come in at the beginning with his darth revan hood up. is there any way (probably the way you did it) to do it so that whatever head the player is currently using is the head used? because i tried it some other ways, and got the darth revan hood with an invisible head. could you explain which node you pasted into? sorry if i'm being dense on this one, but i thought i followed your instructions, and ended up with invisible revan. malpractice
Looks great! Excuse my ignorance, but what the Uru website thats hosting it? Many thanks, I cant wait to get my grubby mitts on this, lol...
Mono_Giganto
Fearless_Jedi: Thanks. Except you haven't seen the back of the skin. It will probably look fine, but it still has the Revan's cape texture. Hardly noticeable, that's why I kinda made it dark, plus I took the picture in the dark undercity, but I'll lighten it up if you want. dj_owen: Ya the way I did it, it uses your current head, and is also compatible with the player choice heads in the Holowan Cloakworks. And if you go up the thread a bit, I've explained how I did it, so people can do it for themselves until Uru puts it up. But I will say again, you don't make a new row, you have to put N_DarthRevanM into the modelj place under EVERY row that involves a male head. Same with the females. malpractice: Uru's got a website, and it's pretty much the first place to send completed mods. The website is http://www.voc-clan.com/kotor
Mono_Giganto
By the way, just in case Uru is gone forever, would anyone be interested in hosting some of my mods? Including this one
Seprithro
i'll host some stuff for you if you want, it's the least I can do, after all someone did it for me, i'd be an ass not to offer, check my site let me know if you want me to Sep's Mods
Mono_Giganto
Sure I'll send them to you Sep. I just gotta finish v3 of my other mod. (v1+2 were sent to uru-so no one's got them yet lol)
dj_owen
okay mono- i figured that's what i was doing wrong. my only question is: what does this affect? i assume modelj is the model for robes, or maybe a specific robe, is it just the star forge set of robes? that would work a lot better. maaes
according to what i could understand from reading through the tutorial on the appearance.2da, modeli and modelj are the models for star forge robe and revan robe respectively.
Mono_Giganto
No not quite. modelj is the set for Revan's Robes AND the Star Forge Robes, nothing else. I believe modeli is just the regular jedi robes.
BeHive
after playing arround a little bit with this i thought about making a mask that would change your head model with Revan's head. by doing this while using the hooded robes it would simply look as if i was just equiping Revan's mask instead of actually changing heads. my only problem is... how do i make an item that changes the player's head when equiped, and then changes it back to the original head when unequiped? can anyone shed some light on me? tks in advance
Mono_Giganto
Problem with that, is that the Revan model comes as a one piece, meaning you can't separate his head from his body. However, if you want a Revan disguise, you can download the Holowan Cloakworks.
BeHive
hmm damn.. didn't knew that ok so then what's needed is for the thing to change your whole body instead of just the head. since the robes are the ones you would be wearing anyway, you wouldn't know the diference. i'll try to look into Holowan Cloakworks code to see how it's done and make a mask instead of a bracelet (been using it for a while but never looked at the code hehe) anyway, is there a way to make an item equipable only if another item is equiped??? Mono_Giganto
Here's a unique idea to get what you need done. Alter the Robes to grant a feat that you wouldn't be able to normally get. (I think a lot of character recruiting mods come with a 'proficiency all' feat that doesn't show up normally. Try that. Doesn't grant you proficiency anyway.) Then make your disguise require said feat to equip. It will only work if you equip the first item. Also, I'm not sure if this is possible, the utc editor doesn't like me so, but you could probably try to creat your own feat and not make it normally available. Yep... I should get the 'Most Creative Mind' award...

BeHive
ok... it's done it took a while cuz i was having problems with the robes (messed up the file by mistake and didn't noticed it) anyway, everything is working except for one thing.. the mask is only usable when the robes are equiped.. but if i equip the robes and the mask and then remove the robes, the mask stays equiped.. wich screws the whole effect is there a way to make it so that when i unequip the robes, the mask is unequiped automatically?? i've been searching the forums for something on this subject but haven't found a single hit.. =\ <edit> also, all my attempts to add a new icon to it have failed lolol

Mono_Giganto
Jackel, that's what he did. But when he removes the armor, the mask stays on. And no, I don't think there's a way to fix that.
dj_owen
if i remember correctly, when you zone, the mask will automatically be removed. the reason i think this is because when i played a game before, i was pure light side, and i was wearing the qel-droma robes. on the temple top, just for fun, i sided with bastila, and went from pure light to about 60% dark. i still had the robes on (they have a light-side restriction). i thought i had found a bug, but as soon as a zoned into the temple again, i was just in my skivvies. it should work the same way for all requirements. Mono_Giganto
Ya it does the same thing when I switch from StarForge Robes to Revan's Robes after using a cheat. as for the download, I'm sending it to Svosh in a few minutes. You will have to download WinRAR however. You can get it from a google search.

Mono_Giganto
Okay, I've sent my mod to Svosh, he will be hosting it. He's adding in his own reskin for the StarForgeRobes, and I've included an expanded version that does some other stuff, and a similar mod that give you Bandon's (Dark)/SithApprentice's (Light)Robes instead of Revan's. Downside: It's a .rar (not a zip), like I said, quick google search will get you a 40 day trial.
