Hi-

 

I realize that you personally don't like the robes, but thank you for taking the time to post them and continue to refine them.

 

I'm downloading them now and will finish out a Dark Side game with them and let you know how they function.

I did some testing with this and can say that the env map setting in appearence.2da has to be set to DEFAULT - not CM_Baremetal - or the game will try to do a metal effect with the alpha map and not render the transparency

ok once more, this mod is only for mono's moded apperance.2da. is is not at this time ofr the ingame, factory revan model, (STRESSING HIS POINT) it will not work with holowan cloakworks, or any mods that lets you play as a masked revan, updated version in works

Yes indeed, but in case anyone wonders how your mod works ... I was only trying to say that the ONLY thing stopping the transparency from working (on your texture) for other Revan model setups .. such as offered with holowan cloakworks and others is the 'envmap' setting in appearence.2da - If you find the appearance type in appearence.2da that your Revan's robe mod uses (many use 'Unique_Darth_Revan' but some may have their own custom appearence set up) then all you need to do it set the 'envmap' setting to 'DEFAULT' and the transparency on your texture will work fine. It's not like theres some hidden voodoo in mono's .2da's that allows this to happen .. or if it sounds like voodoo to you :D then its explained above -

ok, let me see first, this texture as seen in pics, is on the deafult revan robes, second i have NO idea why this also overrides the star forge robes(working on it), third mono's mod is a 2da edit that allows the default robe model to be replaced with the one from the cutscene, in which the hood is up, and shows your face, forthly, i currently do not know where you can get it, he had a site, but last i heard it was froze, I have given it much thought, and i will NOT distribute his files, (it;s a respect thing) i AM however working on my own version of this mod which may correct somw issues with it and my textures, and lastly, the evmap has to do with the shaders, and texture of the shaders, that are aplied to the model/skin

Okay, I just saw this thread, and I'm glad you respect me and everything, but go ahead and distribute it. Freewebs crapped out on me; it was supposed to unfreeze on the 9th, AND IT DIDN'T. I'm working on a tripod site, and once I solve my pcgamemods problem, I'll send it there as well. But if you have the mod, by all means, do what you want with it.

 

Oh, and about the StarForgeRobes thing, just stick another texture file into override named 'N_DarthRevan02' and it will change to that texture. :)
