MrMidas
Greetings. Just finished the tutorial on editing item properties. I think i actually understand it! wOOHOO! But im not sure how to convert a .gff file to.uti Anything i finish needs to be .uti doesn't it? (If this is something i already should know i sadly tell you that i don't. hehe.) Thanks. MrMidas
Nevermind! I got it! It worked and everything. I guess that's something I can do now. If anyone actually has a use for that I could do with the practice.
MrMidas
btw.. anyone know what property affects max dex bonus? I'm hunting through different armors but can't see which one it is. (easy enough to find all other bonuses and requirements etc but this one escapes me.) Thanks
Jackel
max dexterity bonuses are situated in the baseitems.2da file under the heading dexbonus its about half way or so across the row your looking at what i did for a few armours im working on is copy the row for the style of armour i want to use as my base , ie armour class 6 then paste it as a new row , rename the row number and then change the armour defense and max dex bonus to suit the armour then of course you have to change the baseitem number to your new number in your uti file to match the new line in the baseitems.2da file
MrMidas
Using GFF editor at moment im trying to add new nodes for item properties. I can select "Add userdefined structure" or whatever it is, and from there choose to add [bYTE] or [WORD] etc but how do I labe these "Costvalue" etc. So far i can't see how this tool will let me do that. I can add one of these and a numerical value but no labels. For my understanding: Does the line need be labeled "ChanceAppear" or would just [bYTE]=100 do? Thanks again. These questions may keep coming.
tk102
The Field ID is very important and must have the exact label as expected by the game or you are doomed. Change it in the upper right corner. http://img56.photobucket.com/albums/v170/tk102/43148fc8.jpg Note also, in some cases it is equally as important to make sure that User-Defined Structs have the correct Type value.
