Mav Posted May 21, 2004 Share Posted May 21, 2004 Okay so thanks to all of the helpful posts I've read in the forum I actually managed to make my own item....It's a belt.....yay for me....lol anyway what I'm wondering is...How can I put it in the game without replacing another item? because right now my belt has just replaced Calrissians belt, meaning what I have to put in the console is >> giveitem g_i_belt009 << so how can I change that and make it custom? I'm still working on my own custom items too, so I'm as new to it as you are, but I know what to do; I'm stuck at the technical stuff, so to speak. KT has those three grayed out, so I can't change it there, and GFF Editor corrupts the description+name. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tk102 Posted May 21, 2004 Share Posted May 21, 2004 GFF Editor corrupts the description+name. Start by putting your DescIdentified field into GFF Editor. Save. Then open up your .uti in a hex editor, locate your description, and replace the instances of 0D0A (CR+LF)with 200A (space+LF) and you'll eliminate those annoying white boxes that normally appear.
