ddom Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 I eagerly studied gff tutorials thoroughly and here's the first result: Hattori Hanzo's Katana, inspired especially by the Crazy 88 scene from Kill Bill vol. 1. This melee weapon is too powerful for serious playing, as it severaly disturbs the game balance, but it's meant for "after-playing-through-for-the-first-time" fun. That's the reason why this item can only be accessed through cheating (and maybe the fact that I didn't manage to modify scripts... ) Without further ado, here's the file: http://merko.phkk.fi/~dicdom/katana.zip
Prime Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 Does it have a new texture, or just the changed properties?
Mav Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 cool man. I actually have never heard of anyone modding one of the melee weapons before..lol. But thanks for the mod it's always good to see new things come out. Oh and could you post a screenie please.
Mono_Giganto Posted May 26, 2004 Posted May 26, 2004 NO!!!!! I WAS WORKING ON A KATANA SKIN!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!! Ah, well, nice job...
ddom Posted May 26, 2004 Author Posted May 26, 2004 Maverick, I tought about screenie, but it's just a new handle, there isn't much to be seen. The handle looks wooden with these... strings going diagonally around it, you know... samurai style. And Giganto, sorry about "stealing" your idea. Maybe you should just do the same thing... BETTER!
Mav Posted May 26, 2004 Posted May 26, 2004 And Giganto, sorry about "stealing" your idea. Maybe you should just do the same thing... BETTER! UhOh sounds like a challenge woooohoooooo! I got two bucks on ........ Ahhhh nevermind
ddom Posted May 26, 2004 Author Posted May 26, 2004 Besting me with textures is as difficult as eating cake.
Nodakrattler Posted May 26, 2004 Posted May 26, 2004 That is a nice katana. The handle looks perrty good too.
ddom Posted May 26, 2004 Author Posted May 26, 2004 Well... Just recently I added more information to my profile, after my paranoia had settled a bit.
Mono_Giganto Posted May 26, 2004 Posted May 26, 2004 Well, now that you've done it, it really makes no difference. Nice job.
