As mentioned before, the demo appears to be from an earlier build of the game engine.

 

I think we can be sure these issues will be resolved when the production version of the game is released.

Just playing the game gave me some indication to the fact.

 

1.) Some of the weapons fire is simply a streak of graphics . . . looks like the laser blast graphics for certain units were not put in.

Games under design normaly do this until the art department can create the graphics / get them into the game.

 

2.) Regarding animations (such as the AT-ST's or the stormtroopers ) they appear to "moon walk" because it appears some of the units animation frames are not present. (Another possiblility is the speed of your processor. The AOK engine was designed around a 233 - 300 mhz processor. If your running the latest greatest, the demo may not be balanced for higher speed processors)

 

I'm racking this up to an older build of the game engine. Just my opinions here though. I'm no expert by far.

Hmmm...Has anyone noticed that maybe the reason why the Stormtroopers walk funny at times is because they are going up hill and they needed to express it somehow? :)

Yes but that still means that the build THEY have is locked and final.....not the build WE have (aka demo...) although it could.......we can only hope they tweak some mech animations :)

I thought that they moved fast only because they was recruit, it seems they're getting slower but more efficient as they've been upgraded.

 

Is it me or that's it ?

yeah i think how AT-ST walks is really funny, looks like its going unbalanced anytime, but o well works for me
