Tau Renegade
Is anyone interested in helping us make a Mod on Mace Windu for Jedi Academy. We already have a website, and quite a bit of work done on it. Mace Windu Mod Any comments and questions would be quite appreciated. And I will explain to the fullest detail I can. Let's start with the obvious. You are Mace Windu. You must go on missions and stuff, and eventually make a choice, light side or dark. There will be things like: new vehicles, new models, new story, enemies that are actually hard to beat. (Unlike JA.) There is a new combat style: backhanded. And we are also planning on a new game mode. It is a mainly single player TC though. There is a demo, which should hopefully be released soon, once a shader problem has been countered. It is DOTF with Mace Windu and Darth Maul. You will start in the entrance of the hangar, with Captain Panaka, and Padme, plus some naboo troops. You seige the hangar, and after that a cutscene starts, showing everyone going another way, leaving you with Darth Maul. Then the duel starts. The demo will include Zam Wesells sniper rifle, flyable naboo starfighters, a battledroid model, and a darth maul model. In multiplayer, a seige map will be constructed with Naboo Starfighters. With which you will use to attack the enemy base. Once you have landed, you will assault the Trade Federation Hangar. The mod will also include saber enhancements, such as a greatly improved perfect sabers, and will likely include new sabers styles, apart from the backhanded. ros_Exo
I would like to help. I can skin and make maps.
CortoCG
The problem is not that no ones cares. Although the idea is not very innovative and appealing, some Mace Windu fans would appreciate it. The real deal is, that starting a mod, at the scale you intend to, is not an easy task. In most cases you will have to start by you own, then show your work and say you're open to work with more ppl. I see mods starting daily, and closing the other day. I would say you forget about starting a mod unless you can code, models, skin or map. You cannot start a mod just to be the project leader. Tau Renegade
but we're not starting a new mod, i'm asking for assistance on a mod that is being made. we don't really have enough people. ros_Exo, your help would certainly be appreciated. i can skin, write bot files and npc files, plus planning. there are lots of gaps to be filled. the most important ones are: modelling. mapping. skinning. music. voice actors. coding. this mod will have a total of 2 demos. and the full version will be released near the release of the dark forces one. we are doing space flight, arena duels, podracing. things you can only think of. keduba
A mod for JediAcademy? No, no, no.... no. I'm not a friend of Jedi Academy students and uncle Ragnos. I prefer Jedi Outcast, just because I know much more about it and its modelling amd mapping. And I've succeded much in it.
keduba
I mean JA is a great game, but JKII is better for making modifications Mod about Mace Windu =
ros_Exo
....yeah JO is better for some stuff
keduba
No doubt: JO is better for modding. For example I can make about 140 new npcs for the game, and they are not like in JA just a few famous characters. So JO is much better.
