Cooly Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 How can i make texture in paint that i may use in my map?I must convert it or something?
zeimi Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 MSPaint supports only some crispy Windows file formats like .bsp. Most probably you want to create .jpgs or .tgas so you need to find another image editing program. Making your .jpgs and .tgas to work in game is another subject and there are n³+1 threads about it. I'd suggest searching.
WadeV1589 Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 MSPaint supports JPEG and PNG in Windows XP so it can be used. As for saving/sizes and so on...you must search cuz I made a HUGE post covering every aspect of using custom textures.
Cooly Posted June 7, 2004 Author Posted June 7, 2004 I make an *.jpg file in paint, then give it to gamedata/base/textures/hoth and it works goood;)
Jedi_Vogel Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 once you get the power of two thing right... search for another thread by "custom textures" and look for the HUGE post made by Wedge
