Fearless_Jedi Posted June 14, 2004 Share Posted June 14, 2004 Ok, I have had this mod idea for awhile and thought that maybe if I am any good at animating I'll give it a try. Basically it is a realism mod, so lightsabers kill in 1 hit and blaster shots do the same. But that isn't even a tenth of it. I want to make the combat in the game look almost exactly like in Ep1 and Ep2. The only difference would be the fact that the animations would be repetetive. So occasionally you would see the same animation.....it cant be helped. However, you will have complete control over what animations u use. I figured saber v saber dueling would be made up of several long animations with only one attack in the end to end the battle. Basic u choose what saber technnique u want to use and the enemy does so and you go at it, the winner is based on skill, experience, strength, and speed(like in any saber battle). Even better, I hope to make it so that players get to choose whether to end their enemies life or not(and force points are awarded accordingly). Of coarse depending on the enemy's skill u may not get that choice. I also hope to add 2 v 1 and 3 v 1, animations(maybe). This mod would basically make combat more automatic, which I know few people care for but I plan to add some strategic elements to it so it isn't that bad. IMHO, I think the best thing would be the getting rid of the flurry/power attack/crit hit feats-I hate them. Of coarse this is all dependant upon whether or not a compiler/decompiler comes out or not. And of coarse how hard it is to use gmax(since I have no exp). Anyway what do u think? LoL your idea for the single hit from lghtsbrs and blstr why not just add the insta-kill bonus to them all? and please dont ask me how becoz i ain't got aclue, sorry. and as malak 369 stats it will take a hell of a lot of time to complete, do you think it'll be done before KotOR 2? MattCole Kotor 2 will be out , spring 2005 so dont worry he will make it if he work hard , but i think there are some hidden animations btw. like revans single sabre animation and that is a good one (view in trailer) and cutscene. Fearless_Jedi Posted June 15, 2004 Author Share Posted June 15, 2004 It is an ambitious piece of work, but like I said before it all matters on whether a good model compiler/decompiler comes out. Without that I couldn't make any animations and without the animations I wouldn't have a mod. Even though I do work the good ole 8 hrs a day, I don't have much else to do...untill school comes around anyway but that still leaves 2-24 hr days I can use to make the mod every week so I hope I can get it out before KotOR 2.(If it is anything like KotOR I it will get delayed alot, so in that case expect it out before KotOR 2) Anyway, once the model compiler/decompiler comes out I am gonna spend as much time as I can making this mod.
