Guest DarthMaulUK Posted July 5, 2004 Share Posted July 5, 2004 Having just reformatted my PC recently because XP sucks so much and the fact Galaxies kept crashing every 5 minutes, I thought it was time for a clean up. Anyway, last night I managed to play Galaxies without crashing hardly last night. However, this morning I put on Windows Service pack 1 - the route of ALL evil - and bingo, Galaxies wont launch or start normally. I remember last year my PC refused to turn off and always restarted and this WAS caused by service pack 1 as well as that was the only thing installed on my PC at that time. My copies of Windows XP is an upgraded version, as I upgraded from Win98. This got me thinking if anyone else is experiencing crash to desktop or other problems with their game has also upgraded copies. If you do post away and I will pass on the findings to Lucasarts.
