jlytle1234
i used the kyle skeleton tagged and weighted for my model and i export it to xsi format, but when i go to assimilate and run it, it tells me that the stupidtriangle has no weights. i dont know anything about weighting, i used the premade skeleton so i wouldnt have to mess with weighting. but can someone explain how to fix the stupidtriangle has no weight problem? CortoCG
Weighting a mesh to a skeleton is what makes the mesh follow that skeleton. In 3dsmax you do that but appling a skin modifier to each surface/mesh. Since the stupidtriangle is the first mesh detected in the mesh tree is the only one to return and error. If you weight the stupidtriangle you'll find out carcass will complain about the hips not having weights, and so on. You cannot escape the weighting, that basically what putting a model ingame is all about. Use Tim Appleby's and Psyk0sith's tutorials to guide yourself through the whole "putting a model into a game"process".
