Clans in games like JK:JO and JK:JA are mainly for people just wanting to play together and experience fighting as a group. I never saw a benefit as far as online stats goes for me in those games. However I can see how that would be different in SW:BF. It appears that being in a clan in this game would be beneficial. I didn't get involved with so called "clans" or guilds for us RPG gamers until I got into RPG games starting with SWG. One FPS I play that I didn't mention was Planetside b/c that game does require you to be in a squad if you want to be successful in the game.
