Phanto/\/\
Sorry if this was already discussed, but i have an idea. I think it would be cool if like only a grand moff could fly a TIE fighter and a regular stormie could use a speeder or something, i just think that would be cool. It will be that way in Battlefield: Modern Warfare i think..
Virtuosis
It already has been discussed but not in the same way. I don't like the idea though. Why would a grand moff be flying a TIE fighter? And it would be a hard rank to attain. It just wouldn't make sense really. It would take away from the fun the game could be also. I want to fly a TIE fighter right when I log into the game, not wait until I'm a "Grand Moff".
Mountainforest
I don't like the idea of linking rank to ingame capabilitys either. Maps like geonosis won't be any fun at all, as you'll probably have very few people in the game with a rank high enough to pilot an AT-TE. You'd also have a problem in vehicles with may places. Having a full republic gunship would also be very rare.
Revlt Coranier
Some Grand Moffs could have personal TIEs, I suppose, but they are in control of regions of space, not combat operations.

I guess they would rather have a personal shuttle or stardestroyers. A TIE isn't a long range craft wich could be helpfull if you controll regions of space. singard
SWBF is at its core a first person shooter -- not an RPG. I hate the idea of only high-ranking players being able to fly certain vehicles. Most players aren't going to put in the time to reach a high rank -- I know my wife would never let me put in that kind of time. Besides, watching inexperienced pilots crash into the ground is half the fun of these kinds of games!
