What's up everyone new here and looking forward to this game so I figured I'd drop in and say hi..

So, I'm kind of confused on the game play style of this.

I'm an avid socom player and was wondering if it's anything like that style?

I noticed there will be respawning...what will be involved?

Meaning, what game type and how long are games usually?

Will there be a clan option in the game (like socom)?

I have so many questions so if someone would like to give an overview of the (online) missions, when and how the respawn works (fyi, not a fan of respawn but it's cool). Basically anything!

I've done reading but I can't find too much info...

1 more month..WOOOOO HOOOOOOO :urpdude:

Hi! Welcome to the boards. I think I can answer a few of those questions for ya.

The playing style of the game is like Battlefield:1942 you try and capture command points by standing in an area around the command point while the other teams color drains and yours fills up. Unless there is a deathmatch than it won't be anything like SOCOM sadly. Respawning is what this game is about, it revolves around it. I'm not quite sure how it works but its based off the amount of command points you have I believe. There will be a clan option in this game and there are clan forums just a few forums down from this one. So take a look if you are interested in joining a clan. Again I don't know much about how the multiplayer works so I can't answer that one, and the online missions so far that are confirmed are just the command point capture mission.

Thanks :)

Thanks bro.

My clan from Socom 2 are all getting the game so we're going to keep the clan and maybe add some more so that's good to know.

Do you know if there are time limits or just open ended games until you win? and if we can play as a team or is it random joining of games? I would love to be able to join my clan and start a game with them on the same team

The system in battlefield is not totally the same on every map.

The basic idea is that both teams have a ticker stroke. If your ticker stroke reaches zero, your team loses the game. In some maps you lose tickers by having a minority of the total checkpoints on the map. In othersone team has to capture a lot of enemy checkpoints, so that the enemy has very few checkpoints to respawn.

To get it clear you can always download the battlefield demo's.
