Type R Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Well regardless this game will rock. I am transfering from SOCOM 2 with all of my clan and the graphics will probably be similar. Regardless SOCOM II is going down hill fast, this game is the savior.
ShadoWraith Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Gameplay is more important than graphics

Master William Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 I don't care too much about the graphics, some people are asking for too much... what's the point in releasing this game looking as good as Doom 3 now? Perhaps Battlefront 2 (if there will be a sequel) will look as good as Doom 3, and that is because the next generation consoles will also advance, therefore allowing the PC version to advance as well... Seems to me the versions have to match eachother graphics-wise, otherwise atleast I would find it weird.
GhostfacedKilla Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 I agree , but saying the graphics look like crap is a bit too far. If anything theyre stunning. check out those ign vids and dare say they suck then. some game devs think game graphics are top priority but theyre polishing and repolishing takes away from the gameplay (007 nightfire anyone)......IF they dont worry bout the graphics and polish up the fun factor in the gameplay they could end up with a new brand of revoultionary gameplay i.e. Grand theft auto.
lukeskywalker1 Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Well, I looked at the trailer (most likley taken from the consoles) and some of the models do look a little pointy/jaggy on the joints (knees and elbows) but that might just be the armor. The skinning detail is great, and well.. I don't pay much attention to gun detail, unless... the gun just looks aweful. Environments and vehicles: Great Lets face it, modeling a tie-fighter is a lot easier than a rebel soldier. The soilder would take up a lot more resources to, due to the level of detail required. Sure, the tie might be bigger, but doesn't have as many curves and surfaces as a person would.
SITH_ShadowCat Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Has anyone looked up, like at the skybox? I was amazed at how it looked, really added to the map. Looke up past the bunker and you'll see the shield generator, too bad it doesn't blow up when you take out the shield generator.
Mountainforest Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 The first battlefront review gave it a 9/10 for graphics. I guess that concludes all discussion
