spectator
Yesterday when I was waiting for my interview at Gamestop, I took some time to look through the Battlefront guide book, and noticed that it said that some troopers have a charge up (I think it was the Rebel Assault troopers), and that most of the rocket launcher have a lock on mode ... Call me crazy, but even if I zoom in, rockets don't "lock-on" to anything ... anyone have an idea of what is going on? Much help would be appreciated

spectator
automatically? or do you have to zoom in?
Ordawg
They automatically lock. Just keep the reticule on the target for a few seconds and then it will beep at you. Then fire away.
RasputinX
Automatically. Where is 2 small red lines that get close to each other when you lock on, and you will hear a noise when you've established a lock. or alternatively you can look at the top-left of your screen where your ammo is, and you will see a breen bar showing how close you are to weapons lock. The clone pilot has a charge-up move, and so do the wookiees for the rebels.

Mountainforest
Originally posted by spectator cool, thanks guys ... also another thing Anyone else think splash damage from rockets is a tad weak? Compared with battlefield, rockets are very effective against infantry here.
spectator
Yes true, but I'm just thinking of my past experiences with rocket launcher style weapons in Star Wars or most other FPSs ... I guess the splash dmg doesn't feel up to par with the reload times
DNACowboy
considering the rockets are an anti-vehicle/air weapon.. i think they are a little too over powered vs infantry.. i think BF42 had the balance just right.. not much splash damage but a 1 shot kill with a directly hit on infantry..
