Bra_Jonatan
Whats the problem, I have Athlon 2600+ , 1 gb ram and a radeon 9800pro card. But my loading times when I start the game, and when new leves are loading are up to 2 min. Otherwise the game works perfectly. All options are at highest btw. Do anyone have the same problem? Dagobahn Eagle
Yes, for Galactic Conquest. It's immensely frustrating how the game is finished before I can finish loading. I've got broadband, so it can't be that. This laptop is pretty slow, though, so upgrading your RAM/Graphics card will probably help.

Is your Hard drive well over half full or heavily fragmented ?
Dagobahn Eagle
I wish there was a "pre-loading" option. That is, an option to load a map file before joining a server. Then, when you joined, you only needed to load statistics, etc. and you were in.
Mean_Mr_Mustard
I also have this problem...(not two minutes though..but much slower than others online) I have a dual 3.06 GHz Xeon, 2 GB ram and an ATI Radeon X800...so my specs are way above the min required... My hard drive is 90% full... And it's heavily fragmented.. Do you think this is the problem. I dont think disk space matters, but mabye I should clean up a little bit and defragmet..... Its the same problem when I play instant action
rut-wa jodar
A heavily fragmented or virtually full drive can have an impact on loading times. I suggest that you uninstall any games/apps that you don`t use, then defrag your drive, which may take a while.
Mean_Mr_Mustard
I can't believen how defragemented my disk was.... It's a brand new machine with freshly installed software (machine is a week old). I would never have guessed it would be that bad...shows how much I know. I'll report back any loading time changes after the deframentation....
