dust Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 when i play jedi acaemy most of the maps in both single and multiplayer dont work....i get up to level 2 or so in single player then the game crashes.....in multiplayer i can only play duel 1 & 10, ffa 1, 2, 3 nothing else. i get an error say not a jpeg file start with 0x00 or along them lines.
ZBomber Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 1. Wrong place. 2. Try updating your patch and/or reinstalling.
dust Posted October 6, 2004 Author Posted October 6, 2004 ive uninstalled/installed the game like 1000x n i have the updated latest version of jedi academy? would you know if i can do anything else?
Crow_Nest Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 The most probable reason is either you have an outdated video card or an outdated video card driver. Tell us your video card and in the mean time, get the latest drivers for it. JA requires an OpenGL 1.4 and DirectX 9.0 compitible card to play.
dust Posted October 6, 2004 Author Posted October 6, 2004 the thing is some maps work. if i had an outdated card or driver the whole game wouldn't be able to open. and also other games like battlfeild work fine which require higher version of openGL than in ja. its only certain maps that don open....at which time the game shuts down. I think the problem is that the installation is missing files when it installs the game. its missing files from one of the assessts.pk3 files, thats why the game completety shuts down when i start a map that doesnt work. That also explains why reinstalling/installing doesnt solve the problem....i need to get a new installation cd altogther :'( would anyone be willing to send me there assessts.pk3 files because i dont want to waste so much money on buying another ja from the shops :'( if your willing to help talk to me on msn messenger my email is: no_one1987@hotmail.com thank you
Crow_Nest Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Ok gonna send it to you, the file about 9MB. But im having some problems with my e-mail for now. I'll try again later.
