Cpt. Bannon
after rummaging around in the .lvl filesi've noticed a number of references to "lua," followed by "ScriptInit." for those of you that dont know, lua is a programming language (LUA) what this has to do with the .lvl files i'm not sure, but i remember hearing something about a "lua decompiler" or something in reference to homeworld 2...maybe this could be the key to decompress and extract these files...or maybe it could be someting to do with scripting levels (add objectives and make them inportant) not sure about anything yet...more to come later. Riley75
Be sure to read through to the end. "luck3y" has built a program to extract the Lua byte-code for each script chunk into their own file. You can use the "luac -l" command (once you've downloaded Lua version 4) to disassemble it into slightly more meaningful opcode format. I'm just about to update my site (URL below) with everything we know so far, so look for that before the end of today.
