Guest Cloud
1.Improved skirmish mode! I just wish that there was a little symbol somewhere on the skirmish creator screen that said "advance" or something so that we can create single player like missions except used for mp! 2.Going reverse. Actually now that I look at it, this would had make the gameplay werid.... 3.Firing rate of lasers should be much faster! Watch the movies closely again and you notice that the TIE Fighters always fire two laser at once but it is done exetremly fast compare to XWA(which takes down a shield of an Y-wing very fast). The X-Wing also fire faster too (I wish the laser sounded more like the movies).

Flying Beastie
SLAMS!!! Braking thrusters (to stop suddenly). Etheric rudder (to "sidestep" to port & starbord). Braking thruster cut-out (to cut throttle and keep moving because of inertia, like in Babylon 5, where pilots can manoeuvre to "fly backwards"). ------------------ "Cavalry's here. . . Guest YT-2000
More dangerous collisions. Look at the films. The fighters runs into something large, hard... KABOOM... But in the game... I run into a wall at top speed with my fighter... whoops, my shield gets a little damaged...
Guest Cloud
YT-2000 that was how it was in X-Wing. Can't any of you be serious about this?
K_Kinnison
okay, here is my wish list 1. Mutli-region, and more advanced SKMs so that we can create qucik and easy SP style MP missions 2. Better LAN code to reduce lag in MP games, you need a killer con to get a good 2v2 game going 3. Beam option- SLAM system 4. MOre relistic Yaw controls 5. Better component damage system (i want to see an X-wing flying with an S-FOIL torn off) 6. More wingman conrtols, or command for MP, or better yet, a built in rodger Wilco type prog 7. Surface, and Atmsopheric "Areas" 8. less laggy version of a padlock veiw, and make it availble to MP 9. a similar system like Wingcommanders ITTS system for turrets. 10. better models Oh, and i think the TIE lasers rate of fire is plenty fast allready
Guest OtanaMan
I agree. XWA lacked these great things, but I would rather want XWA to have more of that movie feeling. 1) Like Cloud mentioned, faster rate of fire. 2) When flying straight, stars should fly past you. I feel like I'm staying in one place while everything is coming to/moving away from me. 3)Atmospheric flight. I have more ideas but, forget it. Guest DarthHulkster
Okay here I my opinions. Stuff I have answers to. 1. You want atmospheric missions, wait for the A-Project to get finished or just play Rouge Squadron. 2. If my knowleged serves me correct, it would pretty hard to fly an X-Wing with an S-Foil missing because the wings have rudders. Stuff that should have been added 1. Have control over guy when ejected. 2. Make the game like half Jedi Knight, half XWA ex. If the ship is under attack, you have to get to your ship. 3. Both Death Star battles redone. 4. Transparent windows on capital ship bridges. 5. You can talk with your wingmates and tell them what to do. 6. Be able to fly from space to atmosphere. 7. Have shields encasing the ship like in a big ball instead of hitting the hull and weaking the shields. 8. Make the R2/R5 units useful. 9. Buy parts and modifications for your ship and half to pay for damage. 10. Missions and ships from all books and movies. 11. Do your own capture operation when boarding a ship ex.Rainbow Six 12. Instead of flying, man a gun turret on your home ship. 13. Actually buy drinks for the squad. 14. Ships based on the movies and books instead to LEC/TG likings. 15. Shoot and fire warheads into ships' hangars and destroy ships in it. 16. Man Zero-G Stormies. 17. Command Star Destroyers. 18. Fly with out R2/R5. 19. Eject R2/R5 if they are of no use (penalty if happens) 20. Open up your cockpit if you want to commit suicide or eject.
Guest DarthHulkster
Oops forgot a few. 21. Eject heavy cargo for more speed and to damage enemies ex. SD and destroy TIEs and stuff. 22. More realistic explosions instead the wings blasting off or capitol ships just doing spin and taking forever to die. 23. If you're on a capitol ship and it is about to blow, you need to get to an ecscape pod. 24. Have different bridge positions like shield managment 25. If your like a sharp shooter, open the cockpit, pull out your plaster and blast vital parts of your enemy with pin point accuracy. 26. Have certain ships go under water like the A-Wing because it looks like a sub. because of its bubble canopy and engines and rudders. 27. Fly landspeeders in look Mos Eisley. 28. You have to set your hyper. coordinates. 29. Choose to like have a co-pilot like Chewy. 30. Get up and walk around in like the Falcon when in hyperspace. Guest oldmansteve
But when they showed the hands in the old WC games, the hands took up a lot of display space and took away from the important point of view...the one looking outside the cockpit. I would personally like to see a "component hit" damage model (like the X-Wing sans S-foil post). Adding FPS elements, however, would take away the focus of the game. You're a starfighter pilot, not a super-commando-capship gunnery sergeant. I think the easiest thing to do (and shame on TG/LEC for not doing it!) would be the ability to damage capships beyond repair without having them completely explode. It wouldn't be hard; just have smaller components disappear in a puff of smoke, but leave the hull intact with a buttload of scorch marks. Not only is this more realistic, but the dogfights I remember most fondly are those where the hull of a large ship becomes an obstacle to hide behind and fight around at close range. And just imagine the final Death Star battle fought around the burning hulks of capital ships which are tumbling around out of control.
Guest Cloud
Darth Hulkster, that wouldn't be much of a flightsim game if it was that (lets hope star wars online combine X-Wing flight engine and jedi knight or obi wan for foot). I forgot to mention the sounds which is very important too. I found that the original X-Wing and X-Wing Vs. TIE Fighter demo to have alot of Star Wars soundtrack. I mean, if you build a skirmish mission and you're the imperial, wouldn't you like to hear the "Imperial March" for a celebration music. Also the Battle of Yavin celebration should be in it after a major battle (actually it's in the game, if you film your dstar tunnel run, you can hear it when you beat the mission but pause it for a minute). also I would like to play the 3 major battles Battle of Yavin, Battle of Hoth, and a redone Battle of Endor (curently the battle of hoth is being done at the asmosphere project while the battle of yavin is being done by someone esle). Guest OtanaMan
One thing that's really dumb about Capital ships is that you can shoot ANYWHERE and still kill it. You can fire at that communications on the Star Destroyer bridge and still blow up the SD.

Taarkin
Stop giving all fighters 200 bloody percent sheilds. And a single turbolaser blast would instantly destroy any fighter...and anything else nearby. And why does a ship at 1% hull function just as well as one fresh out of the shipyards? Make the Y-Wing better. In the RPG, they're faster than B-Wings. Make capitol ships better. Carracks are supposed to be faster than Y-Wings. Give capitol ships actual turbolasers; their shots don't do much more damage than yours. Better AI. Hell, you used to be considered an ace after five measaly kills! ------------------ I hate redundant hipocrites. I also hate hipocrites who are redundant. Primarch
Give Cap Ships smarter AI in general...once they lose their fighter protection they should try to get the heck outta dodge, not stick around waiting to be blown up...oh and I still want those furry dice ------------------ 'It's not the voices in my head that bother me, its the voices in your head that do...' Commander 598
So far i've played the demo and if you have the same control in the first version... 1.Ability to fly more realistically like in Rogue Squadron where you have more control of flying rather than only be able to turn left and right.(Whats a starfighting game if you can't go up and down?) 2.Not haveing to press two buttons on opposite sides of the keyboard at the same time to fire.(One button is enough...) Thats all I can think of... ------------------ The Mechanical Demon... I will destroy all in my way... Guest STA JABBAFETT
it seems to me the missions get worse as you go through the game (battle of endor was incredibly stupid, it did not look real, I would prefer if the whole fleet and the sds were actual objects, xwa seems like it was rushed, when the liberty blows it just does not look that real (especially the laser)
Guest OtanaMan
I hear ya, man. The rebel missions were a "been there; done that" sort of thing. The family part was as good as it was short. Also, I totally agree with you on the Endor missions. Ironically, the IMUSE music system didn't have any atmosphere. It would be better if the music were EXACTLY like in the movies. Guest krispy
yeah, and why couldn't they use voices from the movie too? There's clearly no copyright infringment seeing how its the same damn company...that corny Lando voice makes me laugh when he's like "...if they don't know..." "...if we're coming."
