Well i'm attempting to get the Katarn lightsaber from Jedi Academy into KotOR.

 

Now i need to know in which order i should use the link tool in gmax,

 

What i mean is w_saber first, or w_handle first (these are mesh names of the RavenSoft katarn hilt model)

 

I the disruptor working by doing the tutorial included with MDLOps. And i got the Bryar Blaster Pistol from JA in KotOR fine, will be making them seperate w_BlstrPstl_num and whatnot soon, it's not that hard.

 

But lightsabers seem to be more difficult, i kinda got it to work, but only the bottom half of the model to show up and it didn't draw a blade, well it did when you pressed x to flourish the weapon.

 

.UTI is easy, and there's no problems there, i just need some advice on getting the linking right. :D

No problem , sorry that it had to be bad news , I have been trying all kinds of crazy things with the saber models for some time now and exporting. Compiling but half the time when I go to equip it my game crashes and a few times I had the hit with all it 's anims but no blade I tried converting the blade mesh to Aurora AniMesh but that was no better the default animations where lost when I exported.

 

Hopefully it will be figured out soon ;)

Well i got the linking done alright and the blade shows up, all be it on only one side. The hilt model shows up now.

 

Seems a shame that Bioware didn't make mod programs/utilites for KotOR, they gave all their heart & soul into NWN, and LucasArts ruined it by not letting them support modders. :(
