Guest docrodg Posted January 31, 2001 Posted January 31, 2001 OK... so I am about 2 years behind you people, but I have changed my ways, repented, and bought the collectors series. Now I just can't get past the convoy mission in training! I get the first parts easy, but when I get to area 3 I get blasted by the AS, even when I dump all lasers to engines and attack the convoy with the zeal and ferocity of a rabid wookie. I actually made it close but tried to reload and got blasted on the way to the bouy!
Guest garyah99 Posted January 31, 2001 Posted January 31, 2001 Dont' try to attack the convoy directly, that is, don't get close enough to try lasers. As soon as you enter area 3, target the closest freighter component, an dlaunch 4 torpedos, then select the next and launch 4 more. Ideally, take out the command section, or the rocket section, that way the freighter can't go anywhere. After all of your torps are gone, go back to the Independence and reload. Don't daudle though, or the convoy will escape. Good luck.
