HELP! handmaidens robe for male pc HOW?

I would predict, that even if you took the restriction off of Handmaiden's robes and put the robes on a male PC you would just get the male pc's regular clothing, because there isn't a texture for it, I could be wrong though, you could try.

You cannot take to Handmaiden .tga file and create a male version directlly. If you did happen to change the name of the Hanmaiden's robes, and tried to use it, you will get a messed up mod. It will use the texture, but the layout will be messed up.

Inorder to use the Handmaiden's .tga file for a male, you would have to open up a male robe, and use Photoshop to mimic the design. However, if you are talking about the hooded robes, try to look in the texture files for a male hooded Jedi Robe, and again you will have to use Photoshop to recreate the colors and such.

Regardless of your choice, you will have to use Photoshop to manipulate the .tga file, so they will match Handmaiden's robes.

I will be posting tonight, Sunday, Feb 20th, 2005, a new set of Jedi robes for the female PCs at pcgamemods.com.

Hmm the handmaiden robe appears on handmaiden just like any other robe with jedi's it doesnt look anyhting different so if the restriction would be taken off it wouldnt work?

I tried to open it with kotor tool but i get some really strange error.

EDIT:

I really would like to get white robes for my male pc, if someone could make one?

Maybe it wouldnt be so hard to reskin a robe but i dont know how, im going to try tho.

I hate to sound rude, but the rules aren't conditional. The rule isn't "spamming isn't allowed unless you aren't getting what you want", the rule is "Don't spam" and there are no other qualifications attached. Just don't, please.

As far as the robes are concerned, if all you are interested in is getting some White Jedi Robes that the Male PC can equip in KotOR 2, I would just do the following:

Find a good Jedi Robe (let's pick the Dark Jedi Robe just for arguments sake). Extract the texture as a .tga. Open it in Photoshop.

(Quick solution #1) Simply Increase the Brightness/Contrast by a a good bit. You'll probably have to jack up the brigthness to 100 the first time and then do it again - the catch is that whenever you jack up the brightness the image tends to lose a lot of it's clarity (though that isn't the end of the world) since all of the colours are being raised at an equal rate. So jack up the contrast until the details show up adequately. Do that, save the image as a .TGA file and then dump it in your override directory. If you want to modify the stats and all that jazz then just edit the .uti file for the robe and dump that in the Override directory as well.

(Quick solution #2) There is a chance (and I haven't checked this) that the Handmaidens robe maps the texture in the same way as other jedi robes. In this case you can just extract the Hand Maidens robe as well, and then paste it overtop of the Dark Jedi Robe (or whichever robe you want to do the skin swap on).

You'll need to copy your new skin file into your 'C:\Program Files\Lucas..\SWKoToR2\Override' folder. If Override doesn't exist, create it. If the file name is the same as the original, then anytime the original skin would show in your game, the new one will. If it's a totally new model, then you'll need to read the stickies on the main page about how to add items to your game, as it's too in depth for me to try to explain without reading it myself.

If all you want to do is change the appearance of a head, then once you have made your changes to the extracted original.tga, make sure the new file is the same name as the orginal and copy it into the Override folder. If done properly, then your altered head should show up instead of the original. I thought you were trying to change a robe or something. Still same concept though, unless you are adding a totally new modeled texture to the game.
