Darth Nihilus used the Force to pull it out of orbit and make it operational, thereby allowing him to escape the planet's surface. Mandalore offers to help destroy it as it attacks Telos to finish a job the Mandalorians started 10 years earlier during the war. I guess he's offended that it didn't "stay destroyed".
