qwex
where can I get Xwing Trilogy? I can't find it in any stores, and the online stores I checked all don't have it or are out of stock, and it doesn't seem like they'll be getting more. I noticed that in many stores, on the "$9.99" games rack, there's both TIE Fighter and Xwing, are these two the same updated versions that come with XWTrilogy? if so, I could just get those to and buy XWA separately

qwex
back ordered! and no nearby stores have it in stock...amazon.com doesn't have it either. is it just selling out fast, or is there not enough demand for it?
Guest garyah99
Probably a combination of both. Since there re-releases they're probably put out in limited quantities. If you see "Collector's Edition" on any of the original X-Wing or Tie Fighter games, they're probably updated for Win 95, with 3D acceleration. qwex
how many updated windows versions of xwing and TIE fighter were made? the jewel case versions on the $9.99 racks look the same, and if there was only one updated 3d version (meaning the versions in that xwing collector's series compilation are the same as the xwing trilogy pack), then I guess I can just buy these 2 and get XWA separately
edlib
Any X-Wing or TF games on the shelves now are the updated Win95/ 98 versions. I don't think it's possible to get the older versions anymore, other than on E-Bay or something. Go online to the Lucasgames Company store. If anyplace will have it, they will. It might cost a bit more than going to CompUSA or BestBuy, but you'll have it in a couple of days. http://www.lucasarts.com/companystore/
Guest Hans The Great
I bought a copy of the re-release of X-Wing. Do the updated versions of XW and TF still run in a DOS Window?
qwex
believe it or not, the lucasarts store doesn't have xwing trilogy...I might as well get the separate jewel case versions, but I kind of wanted the printed documentation... The Vagrant
Hi all I'm new *looks over at his pathetic post count*, ok maybe that was obvious, anyways, will the remakes run on a comp with WinME as the OS? also, does anyone know what kind of 3d support it is, i use a 32mb tnt2 m64 which lacks any form of 3d now support, its only opengl. One last question to bug you all (hey news is scarce on the web when it comes to old games), does XWvsTF support opengl 3d, i know it has d3d supoprt but i'm not sure if my video card handles that. bah, i know i should get a geforce2 or a geforce2 ultra. edlib
Well, I'm not sure about the 3D cards, but all the X-Wing Series remake games run perfectly on my WinME box. No complaints. HTH
qwex
XvT should support 3D with the patch, but I doubt it's opengl. and I'm pretty sure tnt2 cards support direct3d, though you'd have to check the card's info. I think all the games are direct3d. update: I'm just reading the lucasarts page now, it says XvT's 3d accelerator patch is 3dfx only...is this true? or does it just add 3dfx to direct3d support? also, I though I found XWTrilogy at outpost.com, but just got an email saying it's out of stock...so I still can't find it anywhere
