SMoKE Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Is it possible for coders to make a new entity which they mappers can use in their levels? What I'm thinking about is some kind of a sizeable entity which allows someone to climb up or down along it. Eg. if you could put it next to a rope, then it would be possibly for the player to climb up that rope... Hmm... Difficult to explain, but I'm sure you understand what I mean;) Well, is that impossible???
SMoKE Posted February 28, 2005 Author Posted February 28, 2005 Well, I'm not sure what you mean, but I mean some invisible entities which makes the player climp on it like.... Have you played Half Life? There's something like this there. You just have to walk towards it, and then you climb;)
razorace Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Well, that would be a bit of a hassle. basejka doesn't have climbing animations so we'd have to create some.
SMoKE Posted March 1, 2005 Author Posted March 1, 2005 Well, I understand that, but it would have been cool anyway I'm no coder myself, so I can't help:(
Wudan Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Ladders are possible, here's a link to a tutorial I wrote for JK2, same idea for JKA: http://users.sisna.com/tokyopop/ladder.html I have a new site now, but the old one is still up (for now).
