I highly recommend the Republic ongoing comic series by Darkhorse. To me, they have been by far the best stories of the Clone Wars, and it involves an ongoing storyline. Vos plays a pretty intrical part of the story, but not exclusively so. There are many SW comics covering his life, and I recommend those as well. Vos is one of the best EU characters IMO. In terms of the KOTOR timeframe, your best bet is to look around for the Tales of the Jedi series. You can find out more about the comics at Darkhorse.com or at http://theforce.net/comics/darkhorse/dhseries.asp As for books, I just finished Labyrinth of Evil which takes you right up to the start of Episode 3. It is also very good and gives a lot of background on the characters and the times. There are other Clone Wars novels like Shatterpoint and The Cestus Deception which you might like. As for other eras, some of the post ROTJ are pretty good, like I, Jedi and the like. I hear that the Rogue Squadron series is excellent. The New Jedi Order series seems to be an either "like it or hate it" thing for most people. You could browse around http://theforce.net/books/explore.asp to see what grabs your interest. To my knowledge there are no novels that cover the KOTOR timeframe, but I suspect that will change in the future. Hope that helps.
nas77
Not big on comics myself so I can't provide much help as far as the KOTOR timeframe is concerned; as Prime said there are no novels covering that area yet. But looking elsewhere I highly recommend the Han Solo trilogy by A.C. Crispin (something like that). You don't have to be a big Han-fan to enjoy it; I'm not, but it seems to be the most down-to-earth (well as down-to-earth as anything in SW can get) story set in the galaxy and that makes it highly enjoyable in its own way. I know you said jedi / sith related but I thought I'd just mention it anyway. Might not have lightsabers, force powers or jedi (well except the odd cameo) but is full of love, gambling, smuggling and fast ships. Kind of refreshing to find SW material not so full of fantasy, other than space travel, and even though you might think that was mundane, trust me it's not (kinda weird that). Anyway, ignore if you want.

The non-Jedi stories have definitely been lacking of late, which is unfortunate. I think it is high time we got back to some of those. We are missing out on some great potential stories... Shok_Tinoktin
If you want Jedi/Sith related books you're gonna be kind of out of luck. They are planning two Sith era novels, but they wont be out untill October 2006 and October 2007, so I doubt you want to wait. As far as good books that aren't necessarily Jedi/Sith, I'd recommend, X-Wing series, I, Jedi, the Thrawn Trilogy, Hand of Thrawn duology, Shatterpoint, Tatooine Ghost, and (if you feel lucky) the NJO. As far as that era, you're gonna have to rely on comics, but I don't have any idea what to suggest.
Derc
If you happen to get far in the NJO series, one book in particular, Traitor, really impressed me. It includes a stunning view regarding the Jedi and Sith, the lightside and darkside. And I think Kreia may have been inspired from Vergere...
