Bumping this thread will not in anyway make this happen. All you can do is wait for the thread starter to post again, or wait for someone else to pick it up. I know there are several people that can model that want this as well, so you'll just have to be patient till it is completed.

Besides which bumping is against the RULES!

7. No "Bumping"

Please do not make posts simply to get the topic back up to the top of the forum. If people have something relavent to post, they will. Also, please be patient when waiting for replies. Don't worry if you don't get a response right away. People around here are helpful and friendly, and if someone knows the answer to something, they'll let you know.

Are there any expert modelers around who could shed some light on how TSL models work?

Well I tried to play around with the model, but there are some problems due to my uber noobness in modeling. First thing I did was to compare it with usual robes cloak, and those contain 11 bones (which makes the movements more fluid, hence the waving effect), Revans cloak has only 6 bones. Also normal robes cloak has animation for all 940 frames, but revan's has only 9 frames of static animation. Also I dont understand why the playback of animations is all weird, since everything seems to be tied to aurorabase as a pivot point and how can I identify which animations should I modify (like which ones are for running, fighting etc)

Changing weights did nothing much (except made the cloak hang verticaly, which led to clipping in leg area), I was thinking about adding wave effect, but 9 frames dont help at all, how could i increase the amount of frames used, becouse when I select frames that are after 9th the cloak is invisible?

It looks like Cloud333 added extra bones to the model and then fiddled with animations, but I have no idea how did he manage to do it.

Sorry to sound like a total noob

I mean - I like capes and would like to revans flowing cape but hey - hood is a nice thing too. Many people (like me) want some hooded robe more than the cloak ...

Well I can do that, but there still are some problems with head clipping through the hood, but it works. I think I might solve the clipping problems by just enlarging the hood, however that might not work for some heads that have long hair.

Too bad you can't make that one that the other dude was making tho :(

Well as I pointed out in an earlier post, if someone helps me to understand how TSL animations work I can do it, but now it all [animations] just looks messed up.

So you are actaully "ripping" the hood out of that star forge robe and you "insert" it in some other robe?

No, the hood was already there, I'm just adjusting the model (adding helpers, removing unnecesary details, etc.) so it can be usable by PC.

I could make a static hood for some other robes, but that would not look good.

Sorry people, it looks like this is not going work. I reshaped the hood as much as I could, but there still is clipping, if I change it even more it will look like you have a fish bowl on your head. The correct way to do it would be animating the hood to move with the head, but since the head is attached (not in the same model) I have no idea how to accomplish this :(

So if anyone have idea how to do it, please share it with us.

I already added all the helpers, the problem is with the head "sticking" out of the hood, to fix that I would need to create a head bone, that will follow head animations and transform the hood accordingly, but since the animations are displaying all weird I have no idea where to even begin
