Drazin
Pretty straight forward here, was running around with Mandalore and decided he needed to be a little shinier. So I gave him a more silver tone, taking out some of the tarnish he had on him, and let a little more baremetal show through. Darkened the black armor spots and gave him a nifty little dragon emblem on his chest. I think its an improvement, atleast now he matches his axes. Drazin
Svosh helped me figure it out, so I will pass on what I know... even if its not very much. First of all, Mandalore is already shiny. So you wont have to alter any appearance.2da stuff or make a .txi I go about this a little different than was explained to me, because I am not a smart man jenny. I open the skin in Photoshop, then cut out the parts I want to increase the shine of. Then I paste them back into place (this creates a new layer) and I adjust the opacity of the layer to around 85% in this case. That will increase the amount of CM_Baremetal that is allowed to show through the skin. Now when I did my HK-47 Reskin, I had to alter the Appearance.2da and make a .txi file for him. Basically, you open the .2da stuff in Kotortool, open the appearance.2da section and find your target. In this case its HK-47. Scroll across the columns till you see Envmap and add CM_Baremetal to that row. Then open notepad and type envmaptexture CM_Baremetal and save the file as p_hk-47_01.txi (which is the file name of the hk-47 skin. This tells the game that HK-47's model underlay has the baremetal texture which will show through the skin depending on how much opacity you use. 100% opacity = no shine 0% opacity = all shine. Then drop em into your override and there you are. This probably doesnt make much sense... Svosh explained it to me in a way that made more sense.
