PrTv
I just finish Male character L/S , Now i'am playing Female D/S. By using New Female PC Pack and Dancer Outfit Make the game look a lil better . But the problem is since i'am in dark side , when my dark point is enough , the game will change my look to darker tone . And i don't like the look of it . Question is .. How can i play in darkside but still use Light side Skin , Texture ? I believe that it can be done by editing appearance.2da file . But which line , column to edit ??? Yesterday i spend 2 Hours to figure it out myself and found that (LABEL) P_FEM_A_***_** Is Female Playable model But since i'am using Character skin from Nequam , there are 2 new skin added. And i believe it is NQ_P_FEM_LRG_01 (and so on) ------------------------------ So if i want to assign the game to use the same texture in L/S , D/S How can i do it ? Is there anywhere (any web) give the meaning of the name of each column in appearance.2da file ( the one i want to know most is : what's the meaning of modelb , texb , texbevil / modelc , texc , texcevil / modeld -->and so on.. ) Cause the readme in Kotor Tool only describe some column and i'am evry noob in modding this game , so i don't know how to do it. P.S. i don't want to create a mod of anything , All i want is To use L/S Texture in D/S character and i believe that it can be done by edit appearance.2da file , so i ask you how to do it . If you know some easy way , Tools to do it Please tell me. Any help would be Greatly Appreciate .

Drakonnen
Originally posted by Buffy I love those outfit ... thank you for sexy clothes for Grils also can you make some kind sexy outfit for male PC too ? please and thank you ! I was the one who did the outfits. Glad you like. Not likely I'll do any male "sexy" outfits. I wouldn't even know where to begin, and would have zero desire to make them, lol. Besides, I think a male version using mesh/fishnet would look like it belonged in the Blue Oyster bar in the Police Academy movies. As for the initial question, I don't know what you have to edit in the .2da files off hand, but there is an alternate route you can go: Simply extract the lightside head texture and portrait for the character you are going to use (along with your party members if you don't want them to change either), then make two copies of each and rename them as if they were the darkside textures. That way your game still searches for the same files, those files just now are overriden with the lightside textures you want. If you're doing this while using my dancer outfit pack, you're going to have to delete the 03 and 05 textures, then make a set of copies of the 02 textures and rename them as 03, and make a set of copies of the 04 textures and rename them as 05. This will cause the darkside danceroutfits to use the lightside textures instead, so they'll match up with the lightside heads. Hope that helps. PrTv
Thank for your reply Drakonnen . I did it but it don't work. I did exactly what you told me to do 1. copy / rename Face Texture 2. copy and rename your dancer outfit 2>3 , 4>5 and play , enter cheats : giveitem g_danceroutfit05 What i get is this Pic , it has 2 wrong things 1.even i copy , rename the texture file , i still get Dark skin 2.Dancer 05 is the Exotic Mesh Dancer's Outfit (Sith) , Right? And in Inventory name , item icon i get Exotic . But when i put it on , i get this --> it is Original Dance Outfit /W Darkskin. I tried 03 and get the same result (name , icon is right but not the look) I still get Original Dance Outfit /W Darkskin. And i tried using GFFEditor to change your 04 outfit's properties to wearable in darkside but it doesn't help , i still get the same result. P.S. by rename head texture i can get Light Head to work in Dark alignment . NOTE : In my 1st play all your 3 costume works perfectly w/o any problem But the problem that i describe in this thread occur when i play in Dark side. Can you please tell me what i should do to make it works. And your mod is rocks Thanks
Drakonnen
I'm 99% sure the problem is that you have more than 1 appearance.2da file in your override directory (or subfolders). My mod has its own appearance.2da file, so if another file is interfering with it, or if you don't have my .2da in the override directory its not going to work properly. If you do have two appearance.2da files in your override directory (or in any of the subfolders of that directory), then you can do one of the following: 1. Remove the other mod or its appearance.2da file. or... 2. Follow the detailed instructions contained in my mod's readme file which will tell you exactly what you need to edit in the other mod's appearance.2da file to make the other mod's appearance.2da file compatible with my mod. Again, you cannot have multiple versions of ANY .2da file in your override directory or subfolders or there are going to be conflict issues. Well... what you are asking is a mini-mod of sorts, and one of the first things I did in my game too! Originally posted by PrTv If you know some easy way , Tools to do it Please tell me. PrTv
THANKS everyone. Now i can make it work . By Not using MODEL Mod (but if i just delete the model mod file , my game can't be load cause it cannot find character information) . So i have to use savegame editor to change my appearance to original model . Then i have to extract that model's texture (thanks KOTOR Tool) and copy / rename the face file to get light skin on dark alignment. And Drakonnen , by removing other 2da file your costume work now and thanks RedHawke your tut is great.
