PR-0927
Well, I watched the trailer a while ago and saw a map with parked AT-TE's and a Gunship in a hangar. What is this map? It looks really fun. What's its name? Do I have to unlock it? I watched the trailer again and I still couldn't figure out the name of the map.
Kurgan
I haven't played the SP campaign (just the demo and the very first mission) and I don't plan to play it through until after I've seen ROTS. However, from what I've heard, the "Hangar" map shown in those trailers is not present in the retail game. So apparently it was axed before release. We can only hope that perhaps, like the Azloc III Base map for Jedi Outcast (which was an expanded version of the JK2 demo map first shown at E3) this map will be finished up and released as part of a patch, expansion pack or something. Could it be unlockable as an easter egg? Doubtful, as you'd think somebody would have found it by now, since the game is so short and relatively easy to beat. If you played the PC demo (which you said you did) you've already seen all the RotS spoilers in RC.
Oidar
Indeed, the game doesn't give away anything from the movies.
Kurgan
Originally posted by Oidar Indeed, the game doesn't give away anything from the movies. Well there's only one way you can know that for sure, and that's if you've been following the ROTS spoilers. I'm only going by what I've heard, since I don't follow the spoilers. All along RC has been marketed as containing Episode III material as a selling point. The back of the box clearly says "PRELUDE TO EPISODE III: Encounter new vehicles, locations, and enemies from the upcoming film." So there is no doubt that RC contains ROTS spoilers. The question is, are there spoilers in the rest of the game, beyond that one (PC) Demo level? As far as the demo is concerned, I guess luckily (or unluckily) for me, I don't know exactly what items for sure are in the movie (though I know from the trailer what a few of those are). If more experts in ROTS Spoilerology (I just made that word up, like it?) have played through the SP game and agree, maybe I'll feel better. Thanks for the input. All these have already been introduced in the demo. Sure, you encounter them throughout the Kashyyyk missions, but really, if you've played the demo, you've already seen all the RC spoilers. Maybe, if you really just want to be safe, just stop playing the game after the last mission on the RAS Prosecutor , when you activate the turbolasers to fend off a Trade Federation Battleship . Okay. The game is broken up into "campaigns" right? How many are there, and which one is this one? I'm not talking about the mini levels where it has to load and you move on to the next one, I mean the main missions where you change planets or whatever. It would help to know what part of the game that is in. Thanks! And sorry to get off topic...
TK-8252
There's many campaigns which are all the objectives on each "world." For example: on Geonosis, there's the campaigns to eliminate Sun Fac, infiltrate the droid factory, destroy the droid factory, advance to the Core Ship, and infiltrate the Core Ship. Each campaign is made up of many mini-levels or, as I'd call them, checkpoints. But there's only three "worlds": Geonosis, the RAS Prosecutor (not really a world since you're on a ghost ship), and Kashyyyk. Geonosis and the RAS Prosecutor are not tied into RotS at all. The first Kashyyyk mission is the demo mission, so once you get there, if you don't want to see any RotS-sensitive content, stop there.
Kurgan
So the PC Demo is basically 1/3 (and the second third at that) of the game? Or is it just short compared to the other two? Because it didn't take me two hours (assuming the 6 hours figure is accurate) to complete the demo (playing on Medium difficulty), even with the cheats to "complete my mission" despite the fake ending. TK-8252
The demo is only one campaign on Kashyyyk. There's still like, five or so more campaigns on Kashyyyk after the demo.
Kurgan
Okay, that makes more sense. And the Xbox demo took place on that ship (I assume), so that's probably only a portion of that mission as well. So we have three "locations" (planets), and each of those is made up of campaigns (a handfull each), and each of those campaigns is made up of little "levels" (like checkpoints). Yeah. What's nice is that you can always go back and replay any campaign you've started, in the campaign map. It's not like one of those games where you have to manually save at the start of every mission.
